Cathay Pacific has announced it will resume its seasonal service to Cairns, Australia before year's end.


The Hong Kong-based carrier announced that it will operate the seasonal Hong Kong-Cairns service from December 17 to March 29, 2025. With a thrice-weekly schedule, Cathay Pacific will use a two-class Airbus A330 aircraft on the route.


In a statement, the airline stated the new service will provide more connections for customers travelling between Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, and Australia.


With the seasonal flights to Cairns, Cathay Pacific will operate a total of 73 weekly flights from Hong Kong to five destinations in Australia – including Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
